Vienna Textile Lab, a startup specializing in microbial dyes and pigments, has been selected for the New European Bauhaus (NEB) innovative Catalyse program by the EIT Community. It aligns with Vienna Textile Lab’s mission of creating a positive impact through sustainability, social innovation, aesthetics, and the production of biobased, safe, and high-performance textile dyes and pigments.

Erich has accumulated a huge treasure trove of different, intensely coloring bacteria over 20 years. We invited Erich for an interview to tell us how he discovered his passion for collecting bacteria and what he learned from working with microorganisms.
