April is our month of sustainability and impact.
The weather in Austria in April is quite unpredictable, ranging from sunny skies to snow and hail storms. In a nutshell, it’s climate change compressed into one month. Consider how unpredictable each month would be, and how the weather would change multiple times per day. Extend this scenario to a global scale and make it even more extreme. Unpredictable weather patterns have a significant impact on our planet, and we can no longer ignore the importance of dealing with this issue. We at Vienna Textile Lab are dedicated to ensuring our planet’s long-term viability. As an innovator, we recognize that our actions have an impact on the environment and strive to reduce them. That is why we want to focus on Sustainability and Impact this month.
Sustainability is about meeting current needs without jeopardizing future generations’ ability to meet their own. It is about making deliberate choices that consider the long-term consequences of our actions. We believe that as a company, we have a responsibility to operate in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. We prioritize environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies, and we strive to reduce our carbon footprint as much as possible.
The issue at hand is not solely climate change, but rather the preservation of humanity from extinction. It is imperative that we prioritize our own survival, as the consequences of the current situation should be personal to each and every one of us. While discussions on climate change may feel detached, the severity of the situation demands a personal investment from all individuals.
During this month, we will share information about the sustainability initiatives that the Vienna Textile Lab is and has been involved in.
